Bathroom Case Study - Traditional Cottage Farmhouse

Traditional style bathrooms with a modern edge are growing in popularity, complimenting period properties without the interior looking dated. Our Bayswater Bathrooms and Imperial Bathrooms collections offer a range of statement products to suit this style. It is these statement products that created this gorgeous traditional cottage farmhouse bathroom with black accents.

The centrepiece of the room is a statement freestanding slipper bath. The bath exudes luxury and elegance while giving the room a focal piece that demands attention. While the slipper bath has a strong traditional look, the dark painted outer adds a more modern finish. To complement the slipper bath, a traditional bath shower mixer tap with black lever handles has been incorporated.

For the basin and toilet, both are traditionally styled. A large full pedestal basin and close coupled toilet keep the space clear of pipework while complimenting the traditional look. Again a modern edge is added through the black accents on the basin mixer taps, toilet seat and toilet lever.

In order to pull the entire space together, black accents have also been incorporated in the shower enclosure through the frame and brace bars. This addition of black throughout the bathroom gives the entire space a modern edge.

Regarding the products included, the customer noted the bath is "the most comfortable bath I have sat in, and we have spent lots of nights in hotels with lovely baths". While the "sink is beautiful and so big, easy to use and clean".
